About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Adoptions Engineer to join our residential development team.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that all on-site infrastructure—including roads, drainage, and utilities—complies with local authority adoption standards.
This is a hands-on role requiring excellent technical knowledge, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:

Liaise with local authorities, utility companies, and consultants to ensure infrastructure meets adoption standards.

Review and approve design and construction work for roads, sewers, drainage, and street lighting.

Inspect site works regularly and prepare compliance reports.

Coordinate remedial works as required to achieve adoption approval.

Manage adoption documentation and submission processes with statutory bodies.

Provide technical support to site teams and project managers throughout the construction process.
Skills & Experience:

Degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or a related discipline.

Proven experience in residential/adoption engineering or similar civil infrastructure roles.

Strong knowledge of highways, drainage, and utilities adoption standards.

Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or equivalent design software.

Ability to manage multiple sites and deadlines effectively.
