Our client, is a well-established and growing civil and structural engineering consultancy, is seeking a motivated Civil CAD Technician to join their expanding team.

Opportunity
Working closely with Civil Engineers and project teams, the successful candidate will be responsible for producing accurate and high-quality technical drawings and supporting the delivery of civil engineering projects from concept through to construction.
Responsibilities
- Produce detailed civil engineering drawings using AutoCAD and Civil 3D where applicable.
- Prepare site layouts, drainage schemes, highways drawings, utility plans, and earthworks designs.
- Assist engineers with planning, design, and construction stage documentation.
- Coordinate drawing information with internal teams and external consultants.
- Ensure all drawings comply with current regulations, industry standards, and client requirements.
- Maintain drawing registers and manage revisions throughout project lifecycles.
- Support project delivery by meeting key deadlines and quality standards.
Requirements
Essential
- Previous experience in a Civil CAD Technician role within a consultancy or engineering environment.
- Proficient in AutoCAD.
- Sound understanding of civil engineering design principles.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
- Excellent communication skills.
Desirable
- Experience using Civil 3D.
- Knowledge of drainage design software such as MicroDrainage or Flow.
- Familiarity with highways, drainage, and infrastructure design projects.
- Understanding of SuDS, Section 38 and Section 278 agreements.
- HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
