Civil Technician
Hertfordshire (Hybrid Working Available)
£40,000 - £55,000 DOE + Package
An established and growing engineering consultancy is looking to appoint a Civil Technician to support the delivery of a wide range of development infrastructure projects across the industrial, logistics, retail and data centre sectors.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy and technically strong team working on high-profile projects for major developers and contractors throughout the UK.
The Role
You will be responsible for producing high-quality civil engineering drawings and technical information to support the design and delivery of external works and infrastructure projects.
Working closely with Civil Engineers and senior technical staff, you will assist in the preparation of detailed design packages from planning through to construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Production of external civil engineering drawings using Civil 3D
- Preparation of site layouts, levels, earthworks and infrastructure drawings
- Development of highway and drainage design drawings
- Coordination of technical information with multidisciplinary design teams
- Assisting with planning, detailed design and construction-stage projects
- Ensuring drawings comply with industry and company standards
About You
- Previous experience working as a Civil Technician within a consultancy environment
- Strong Civil 3D skills
- Experience producing external civil engineering drawings
- Knowledge of highways, drainage and development infrastructure design
- Experience working on industrial, logistics, retail or data centre developments would be highly desirable
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work effectively within a collaborative design team
