Project Engineer – Civil Engineering (Residential Development)
📍 Chelmsford | Hybrid (2 days WFH)
💰 £45–55k + car + benefits
We’re seeking a Project Engineer with development-focused civil engineering experience to join our Design & Technical team. You'll support the engineering and infrastructure design for residential sites and oversee consultant outputs to ensure best value, compliance and buildability.
What you’ll do:

Due diligence reviews, technical reports & constraint plans

Prepare servicing, access, levels & drainage strategies

Manage/oversee external consultant designs
-
Coordinate S38/S104/S278 agreements

Liaise with authorities to discharge planning/regs

Prepare scopes for surveys and design work
What you’ll bring:

HNC/HND+ in engineering + 5+ yrs experience

Civil/structural consultancy or developer background
-
Strong understanding of drainage, foundations & access
-
Confident working with authorities/utilities
-
AutoCAD skills; PDS/MicroDrainage desirable
