An award-winning Civil & Structural Engineering consultancy is looking to appoint an experienced Associate / Senior Civil Engineer / Team Leader to join its growing infrastructure team in Newcastle.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Civil Engineer looking to step into a leadership-focused role within a highly respected consultancy delivering a wide range of commercial, residential, healthcare, industrial and public sector developments across the North East.
You will play a key role in leading the delivery of civil engineering projects from feasibility and planning through to detailed design and construction, whilst supporting and mentoring junior engineers within the team.
The Role
- Lead the technical delivery of infrastructure and development projects
- Manage projects through feasibility, planning, detailed design and construction stages
- Deliver drainage and highway designs for residential and commercial developments
- Prepare and review Flood Risk Assessments and SuDS strategies
- Coordinate with clients, local authorities and external consultants
- Mentor and support junior engineers and technicians
- Assist with project management, programme delivery and client development
Requirements
- Strong background within UK development infrastructure design
- Experience in highways, drainage and earthworks design
- Knowledge of SuDS, Flood Risk and technical approvals
- Proficient with Civil 3D and associated drainage software
- Ability to manage projects and lead technical delivery
- Strong communication and client-facing skills
- Chartered status or working towards Chartership would be advantageous
