A well-established UK civil engineering consultancy is looking to appoint a Senior Civil Engineer on a contract basis to support a growing workload of residential development projects.
This role suits an experienced roads and drainage engineer who can operate with a high degree of autonomy while working collaboratively within a design-led consultancy environment.
The role
- Lead the highways and drainage design for residential developments
- Deliver work from feasibility and planning through to detailed design and construction support
- Prepare and review technical drawings, calculations and reports
- Manage and coordinate S38, S278, S104 and S106 approvals
- Liaise directly with local authorities, water companies and project stakeholders
- Provide technical input and oversight to junior engineers and technicians
About you
- Strong background as a Senior Civil Engineer within a consultancy environment
- Proven experience delivering residential infrastructure schemes
- Excellent working knowledge of roads and drainage design
- Confident managing technical approvals and external stakeholders
- Able to work on a hybrid basis, combining office and remote working
