We are looking for an experienced Senior CAD Technician to join a growing transport and infrastructure team in London.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong CAD skills and relevant experience producing transport and/or infrastructure designs and drawings. You will need to be proactive, technically capable and confident working with engineers and other members of the project team.
The Role
You will provide high-quality transport and infrastructure designs and CAD drawings, supporting the successful delivery of a variety of projects.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Producing accurate CAD drawings to agreed technical and CAD standards.
- Developing practical and effective design solutions.
- Ensuring drawings comply with relevant technical guidance and CDM Regulations.
- Managing drawing and document issue records.
- Maintaining appropriate CAD filing conventions, including Xrefs, incoming/outgoing information and file naming.
- Preparing documentation to support Statutory Undertaker diversion estimates.
- Working closely with engineers and other technical staff to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Providing input into fee proposals and tender submissions.
- Keeping up to date with relevant CAD software and maintaining CPD.
About You
Ideally, you will have:
- HNC in Construction and the Built Environment, or equivalent.
- Strong experience producing transport and/or civil infrastructure drawings.
- Expert-level skills in relevant CAD software.
- A good understanding of technical standards and drawing procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- A proactive approach and ability to work effectively within a project team.
- Ideally working towards EngTech or Incorporated status with a relevant professional institution.
